WALTER G. LEHMANN
Walter G. Lehmann is the managing partner of LEHMANN STROBEL PLC.

Walt practices in the areas of art and entertainment, intellectual property, and real property law. Walt's practice focuses on helping individuals, businesses and organizations manage their real and intellectual property assets. His clients include real estate owners, developers and investors, independent film, television, radio and multimedia producers, directors, screenwriters, musicians, production companies, recording studios, photographers, visual artists, museums, galleries, art collectors, and non-profit organizations.

Walt received his Juris Doctor cum laude in 1992 from William Mitchell College of Law, where he was an elected member of the Student Bar Association Board of Governors and a staff member on the William Mitchell Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Williams College in 1985. Walt served as a legislative aide in the United States Senate from 1987 to 1989, and has worked and traveled extensively in Asia and Japan.

Prior to founding LEHMANN STROBEL PLC in 1996, Walt practiced law as a sole proprietor representing a variety of individual and business clients on a wide range of legal matters. His accomplishments included drafting governmental regulations, testifying before the United States Congress, advising local law firms and companies on real estate, public lands and environmental issues, and serving as lead counsel on matters concerning major federal land use decisions. He has represented clients in residential and commercial real estate purchase, leasing and development matters. Walt has also successfully prosecuted numerous trademark applications before the Patent and Trademark Office and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, prosecuted and defended clients in copyright and trademark infringement litigation, and advised clients on issues relating to merchandising, licensing and protection of intellectual property assets.

Walt provides legal counsel to independent film and television producers on all aspects of film financing, development, right clearance, and distribution. Walt's recent accomplishments include organizing a local film commission and assisting with the launch of an internet radio station. He has published articles on real estate, intellectual property and entertainment law, and has been a presenter at seminars on film, television, intellectual property and business matters. As managing partner, Walt oversees administrative, IT, marketing and client relations at LEHMANN STROBEL PLC.

Walt is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Minnesota and the state of Pennsylvania.
